BlogHer Blurb: Putting the Lessons to Work

I’m here, I swear!!! I’m totally NOT ignoring you. Honest!!!

I have pictures to title and load from BlogHer, but I’m working on a project that I’m hoping to unveil in the next few days or so. I’m having some problems, and if anyone knows WordPress and can help me with a small coding issue, I would be in your debt forever.

wanna peek? come back in a bit to see what I’m up to!

Now I’m off to fluff and fix to make it all prettified for ya’all!

BlogHer Blurb: So Many Stories to Tell

I’m home. I’m also still pretty exhausted.

The weekend was wonderful. It has been a long time since I have traveled alone without my kids; and I have to admit, it took a little getting used to. I missed them terribly. It seemed everywhere I went I wished they were with me, seeing what I saw. At the same time, it was so nice to explore and discover someplace on my own. And as far as discoveries go, Chicago was an amazing place.

Good food, good friends, good fun.

Let me get unpacked and settled, and I’ll share all my stories. Like the one about checking into my hotel at 1am, and finding out we were given a swanky 3 bedroom suite for all of our troubles (and we had many).

Thanks Belinda and Mocha for everything. Mostly thanks for not killing me that first night. I hope all was forgiven once you settled in for the evening.

Be back in a bit. With photos.

BlogHer Blurb: After Lunch Edition

I’m here!!! I’ve barely taken my camera out yet, and I’ m just soaking in all that which is BlogHer. I’m now carrying THREE bags, and I have to grudgingly admit the Hubby was right about one of them. So, sweetie, for the record and the blogosphere eternal, You were right. I SHOULD have taken the backpack. There. :)

So far I have met so many wonderful people and heard people speak that have empowered me to want to do more, to be more, to say more.

Oh, the session is about to start. Gotta run for now.

Early to Bed, Early to Rise

I need to get to bed by 10:00pm tonight, so I can be at the airport at 5:30am for my 7:05am flight.

I’m packed and I’m ready to go.

I’m also pretty tired.

Too bad the kids aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. Ugh.

See you tomorrow from Chicago!

There I Said It

  1. In about 48 hours or so, I’ll be on a flight to Chicago to BlogHer. I’m excited, but I’m not used to being without my family, so I’m having separation anxiety. The kids? They hope I bring them something cool. The Hubby? He thinks I’m nuts, and I should go have a good time.
  2. Note to guy in front of me in line at Office Depot this week: Decide either to get new underwear or new pants. That’s quite a draft you’ve got going there. Ewwww.
  3. Apparently, kids don’t find folding laundry “fun”. Mine want a refund on their summer.
  4. Disney may be the coolest place on earth, but it’s not impervious to thunderstorms.
  5. I still got it at the air-hockey table. Boo-yah!
  6. Goofy and his old cartoon shorts about how to do stuff can and will make everyone of ALL ages still laugh. Goofy rocks.
  7. Staying on Disney property, even for just one night (for FREE, no less) is truly magical. (Thanks Shel!)
  8. Ok, I need to go pack.

I’ll be blogging from BlogHer over the weekend. Join me, won’t you?
